What versions of pppd have been succesfully installed/compiled on redhat 5 without other upgrades. I tried compiling 2.2.0g, but kept getting errors. I tried 2.2.0g-mschap.i386.rpm, but it wouldn't install, reporting errors. I tried 2.2.0g-mschap.src.rpm, but could not find where the files were installed to and rpm -q -l reported that it wasn't installed. I tried 2.3.3-3.src.tar.gz, but i need to upgrade glibc. So if someone could tell me which version/distrubution of pppd they have installed/compiled on redhat 5, and allows mschap....let me know....
