Dave; ok I should have said gv:
Here is message aim getting:

Error: /undefined in zpf_york.pdf
Operand Stack

both ghostscript and ghostview
are installed and checked with

gs -h

gv -h

Note here: It reads it's own ps
files but not all of them.......
