Hi,
I recently downloded the jdk 1.1.3-3 rpm from ftp.redhat.com. I
currently have the jdk 1.0.2 installed with the matching version of Kaffe
and Kaffe-Bissawt. When I went to install the version of the jdk I
downloaded from ftp.redhat.com in the contrib directory I could not get
the jdk to work. I need to install the jdk 1.1.3 on this machine. Does
anyone know what version of kaffe and kaffe-bissawt are needed to run the
jdk 1.1.3? The exact wording of the file I downloaded from redhat is
"jdk-1.1.3-3.i386.rpm" I also downloaded "kaffe-0.9.2-3.i386.rpm" and
"kaffe-bissawt-0.9.2-3.i386.rpm". I have unistalled the existing jdk,
kaffe, and kaffe-bissawt using rpm. When I attempt to install the
jdk-1.1.3-3 It will install. When I attempt to put in kaffe and
kaffe-bissawt I recieve an error that states there are conflicts between
kaffe and the jdk ( the same for kaffe-bissawt). I have now unistalled
the jdk 1.1.3-3 and gone back to the jdk 1.0.2 until the problem can be
corrected. If anyone has installed the jdk 1.1.3-3 or above and has it
working please send me an e-mail and I will attempt to use your method to
install the jdk.
