The curious thing is that it was working fine with RH5.0 and Metro-X and
Xfree86 last time around...

I hope someone has some advice...!!!

Thanks

I'm using the same board with 1meg. My config is different since I used
XF86Setup to get it. But, I haven't had any luck getting more than
640x480x16
with it. Some settings try to smoke my monitor since it keeps finding the
next
lower version ( 9660).

I also tried using a board with a CL-GD5429 with no better (and sometimes
worse)
luck. Also 1meg, I think.

Also have an old Oak Technology board with a chip that says OTI077 and
another
chip with OTIVGA and the number 5298517 on it. Nothing at all with this
one.

Anybody has anything more on any of these, I'll be eternally grateful for
some
info.
