I have got problems with setting up pppd to run with other logins other
than root. Prehaps I can draw on everyones vast knowledge base on this
occasion... :)

I have installed a redhat 5 distrubution recently, WITHOUT X.

I have succesfully set up pppd and chat scripts, so that root can dial up.
I have the chmod u+s pppd, in the hope that other users may dialup. pppd
comes back straight away and tells other users that the connect script
failed, via the system log.

The scripts are in /etc/ppp/scripts, they are all readable by everyone, and
trying chmod u+s to the scripts doen't seem to work.

I have had this problem before, and never solved it, I thought I might try
and find the answer this time, but nothing is mentioned in any docs beyond
chmod u+s pppd. I setup ppp as per the Network Admin Guide.

Any ideas ???
