slightly off toipic

I'm debugging a C/C++ program under linux (glibc).
When it's time to run gethostbyname("localhost") (whatever the 
argument), it says 

OUCH: nested memory code, to 1 levels.

Program terminated with signal SIGKILL, Killed.

Any clues?
