Ahh, but the PII is actually just a transitional piece, made to fill in
the time between the P classic and the next chip. Not to mention it just
sucks compared to all the hype about it.

|Certainly not. The Pentium Pro, not the Pentium II, has been discontinued
|by Intel. You may be thinking about Merced, Intel's next chip. This won't
|be available for a while yet. Or perhaps the new low-end PII with no L2
|cache. (This one strikes me as a cheap stab at trying to make a fast buck.)
|Intel has plans for a 400 MHz Pentium II to be released around next
|January, as well as 100Mhz bus speeds on Slot 1 motherboards.
