I upgraded the mailx rpm yesterday and don't know if this is what's
causing the problem or not.

When I enter the mail program via "mail" from the system prompt, I can
read, then delete my messages. When I type "q" to quit, mail exits but
gives the message:

Unable to lock mailbox: Permission denied

and does not delete my messages. If I rum mail -f
/var/spool/mail/myusername and delete, then "q" it works fine. My mail
file is owned by my userid and the group "mail".

Can someone telll me what is wrong?

TIA. Scott
