I hope somebody knows about this or can tell me where to look. Thanks
in advance.
Will I be able to backup files using tar under Linux 4.2 with what is
called a
3M TRAVAN
tape? I believe the tape is an IDE type and the drive is a Seagate.
I believe this tape is available in 3 and 4GB uncompressed.
Perhaps the tape uses the floppy drive interface? I'm a little soft on
just what the interface is, but it is not SCSI. The tape is definitely
not a DAT type, and the above is the best ID on it I have been able
to get.
I apologize for being so ignorant about this.
