Ok, I appreciate and like the work that's gone into linuxconf - it shows off a lot of the lesser-used features of unix systems and makes them easier to implement. *But*... :-) What was the first thing I wanted to do with it? Show it to a friend. Hmmm...let's try: /bin/linuxconf -display ctoy:0.0 & Uh, wait, no, I said put it over there... Ok, maybe I need a different option - I'll check the man pages: man linuxconf No manual entry for linuxconf Hmmm, maybe the "Search Help Systems" tool ... nothing, damn. Maybe linuxconf --help. Well, that was useless... Grrr... What's the most frequent criticism of NT by those forced to run it on their networks? "But I can't remotely administer it." Well, yes, with linux you can still config by hand remotely, but that doesn't make it ok to make the GUI admin tool not accept the normal xwin display option. :-( Please, please, please, if RedHat's going to standardize on linuxconf, tell me there's a way to make the GUI pop up on another display!
