Eons ago I installed Redhat 4.0 from a Jaz drive using the boot floppys

worked fine then but now I dn't have the luxury of converting the tar I
download to a linux filesystem in order for the boot floppys to be able to
mount the linux filesystem.

So, I'd like to know if it's possible to ftp onto a FAT or otherwise
filesystem and install from that image on a Jaz drive.

I remember last time I simply mirrored a bunch of the directories from
ftp.redhat.com and created a couple of symbolic links so that it mirrored
the cd's structure and it all worked fine.

Can this be done again? If so what filesystems on a JAZ disk can the
install be done via boot floppy?
