I am running a RH 5.0 box. I have applied all of the errata patches, etc. This is the type of garbled output I get when I type "last -10" curts ttyp1 lowrider.network Tue Jun 9 10:22 still logged in support ttyp1 lowrider.network Tue Jun 9 09:38 - 09:44 (00:05) *P ;*|5vaulter Wed Dec 31 18:00 still logged in 21384 .lmcp.ju Wed Dec 31 18:00 - 18:00 (00:00) ftp *R Wed Dec 31 18:00 - 18:00 (00:00) 9% **y5ftp Wed Dec 31 18:00 still logged in Is there a particular file that may be corrupt? Also, when I type "date" I get the correct time and date, but some programs...specifically one that parses my httpd logs and creates a web page of access statistics...give the time in time since 0:00 GMT. I did a timeconfig and set the local timezone to CDT and made sure that "Format machine time is stored in - Hardware clock set to GMT" is NOT selected. I would like to run on CDT for everything. I have another server that is running RH4.2 and I use clock -a nightly to adjust the clock. Where should I start looking?
