Just a small note, here. I would be terribly disapointed if the mailing
list was only for the Linux core (the kernel). I still believe that we
would be best served with a list dedicated to the security of an entire
distribution, rather than just the core. And, well, I'm biased towards
RedHat, so I vote that the list and members of the list dedicate
themselves to auditing the RedHat distribution (starting with binaries
that are usually setuid, then move to major libraries, the kernel, then
the rest of the distribution) and providing security configurations with
a RedHat slant. By narrowing the focus to RedHat, there aren't as many
variables...
Just some more thoughts,
