Every time CRON starts updatedb I get these messages from
modprobe. I did a modprobe -c | grep block-major-33 and I get ide probe,
but I can't think what is looking for and what is this have to do with
updatedb. Why do I get these messages and how can I fix this.
Another problem: I compiled ppp support in the kernel, and now, everytime
I start ppp I get modprobe: can't locate module ppp0. I understand that
these things are done by aliases, but I don't know how can I tell modprobe
that I have ppp built-in and not to look for it.
It's not a serious problem, but it's anoying. Can Anybody give me a hint?

        Thanks!
