You might need to recompile PCMCIA. It's pretty easy, and solved
my problem when I upgraded a kernel and suddenly found my NIC useless :)
If you want to try that, PCMCIA is readily available from RedHat's
contrib, RPMS, or from http://hyper.stanford.edu/pub/pcmcia. There's
cutting edge type stuff in the NEW directory, as well, if the regular
package doesn't do you. HTH
