Greetings All.

Looking at CPU/motherboard combos, I've found two possibilities, and
would greatly appreciate feedback, pros, cons, etc.

"Vendor A" has an FIC VA503+ motherboard, w/ an AMD K6 300MHz MMX
processor, VIA Apollo VP3 chipset and 1 Mb on-board cache for $259.

"Vendor B" has a Shuttle Hot 569 motherboard w/ an AMD 266Mhz MMX
processor, Intel 430TX chipset and 512Kb on-board cache for $289.

The first has a faster processor and twice as much on-board cache for
less money, but it's not an Intel chipset. Should I be leary of this?
Anyone have experience with either of these boards? (This is for a
Linux-only machine, btw.)

Thanks in advance for any pointers!
