Qt is good for RAD using Qt-Designer for any desktop app. It is clean to code and purely OOps. If you are a strong GNU supporter, GTK+ or - is the answer. Gtk2 is very much reliable. But GNOME2 and KDE3 libs can provide good foundation classes for any app skeleton
