About 10% live in WA. I grew up in country WA - get your atlas out, in the 
Margaret River area. I lived in many years in Canberra then a few more in 
Melbourne.

My wife grew up in Brisbane. You'd never have said she has a different accent. 
One could pick a Queenslander by some of the words they use (but it could also 
be someone from Northern NSW) - for example port (portmanteau) for case 
(suitcase), and here in WA we wear bathers to go swimming.
