:-)) so a simple question: is it possible to compile postfix with
openssl-0.9.6b-8? if not it'd be easier to said that I have to install
openssl096! IMHO rh distro contains the 'old' openssl096 and openssl095a
just for compatibility.
I'm lazy and I don't would like to recompile postfix from the src.rpm!
(I'd be able to do, and if rh do not say that 7.2 include them, I do it).
if rh said on page:
http://www.redhat.com/software/linux/rhl_server.html
----------------------
Mail server Sendmail, Postfix, Exim, WU IMA
Print server lprng, cups
----------------------
so from where can I download postfix and cups for rh 7.2?

so again:
# rpm -Uvh postfix-20011105-1pcreSASL.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        libcrypto.so.1 is needed by postfix-20011105-1pcreSASL
        libssl.so.1 is needed by postfix-20011105-1pcreSASL
:-((((

and when I try to install printconf I've to install _just_ these packages
:-((((

# rpm -Uvh printconf-* foomatic-1.1-0.20010905.1.i386.rpm PyXML-0.6.5-4.i386.rpm
perl-Storable-0.6.11-6.i386.rpm perl-DateManip-5.39-5.noarch.rpm
perl-libxml-enno-1.02-5.noarch.rpm perl-libxml-perl-0.07-5.noarch.rpm
perl-Parse-Yapp-1.04-3.noarch.rpm perl-XML-Dumper-0.4-5.noarch.rpm
perl-XML-Encoding-1.01-2.noarch.rpm perl-XML-Parser-2.30-7.i386.rpm
perl-XML-Twig-2.02-2.noarch.rpm perl-XML-Grove-0.46alpha-3.noarch.rpm
perl-libwww-perl-5.53-3.noarch.rpm perl-HTML-Parser-3.25-2.i386.rpm
perl-URI-1.12-5.noarch.rpm perl-MIME-Base64-2.12-6.i386.rpm
perl-libnet-1.0703-6.noarch.rpm perl-Digest-MD5-2.13-1.i386.rpm
perl-HTML-Tagset-3.03-3.i386.rpm

do I realy need the whole perl stuff for printconf? so I decided to
delete the whole perl and printconf rpms.

while I simple install cups-1.1.10-0 (just this one and only one
package) and I've got a configurable and _working_ (web based) lpd!
so where can I donwload the rh version of cups?

IMHO it was a _very_ bad idea to forget powertools.
