Yes, I know. But then it also does "Provides: sane" ... well, this I guess 
can be thought of as a bug in apt - I got over this by adding
"Provides: sane = %{version}" to sane-frontends and a "Conflicts <= 
rhl-7.1-version" to sane-backends which doesn't sound completely 
irrational to me.
