Hey,

I've been trying to install RH 7.2 on a server with a Adaptec 2100S RAID
Controller card(formerly DPT SmartRAID V).
When booting normally it installs the generic (redhat) i2o_block driver,
which doesn't really work. It gets to about 30% of formatting when it
"locks up"(just the formatting, I can move mouse, switch to vconsoles, etc)
I'm kinda surprised the Adaptec dpt_i2o driver isn't included in 7.2, but oh
well..

Anyway, so I made my own driver disk with the dpt_i2o driver. This loads
fine whether I use "linux dd" or "expert". The problem is that the
installer ALSO loads the i2o_block driver and nothing works anymore(When I
click on "next" to go to the Disk druid screen it just sits there forever).

So what I was really wondering is how to stop the installer from loading the
i2o_block (including i2o_core and i2o_pci) drivers. Any clues?

Thanks,
Ole Gjerde
