Hello list,
there is a thread on guinness-list going on now regarding this issue,
but I feel it is more on topic here, so I'll ask my question here:
What version of kernel headers is current rawhide glibc-2.2.2-7 built
with? On ftp.task.gda.pl rawhide mirror there is no kernel-headers
package:
ncftp ...t.com/i386/RedHat/RPMS > ls kernel*
kernel-2.4.2-0.1.28.i686.rpm
kernelcfg-0.6-10.i386.rpm
kernel-doc-2.4.2-0.1.28.i386.rpm
kernel-enterprise-2.4.2-0.1.28.i686.rpm
kernel-smp-2.4.2-0.1.28.i586.rpm
kernel-smp-2.4.2-0.1.28.i686.rpm
kernel-source-2.4.2-0.1.28.i386.rpm
ncftp ...t.com/i386/RedHat/RPMS > ls glibc*
glibc-2.2.2-7.i386.rpm glibc-devel-2.2.2-7.i386.rpm
glibc-2.2.2-7.i686.rpm glibc-profile-2.2.2-7.i386.rpm
glibc-common-2.2.2-7.i386.rpm
And could someone please explain finally what is wrong with
having a link /usr/src/linux pointing to your own, fresh tarball kernel
(i.e. 2.4.3) when the glibc was built with another version, say 2.4.2?
