I've been using the Redhat CD HOWTO to create an install CD that uses
the updated RPMs and also
installs some extra packages that we use in-house. Some of the RPMs
I've added don't install properly; basically their postinstall scripts
don't seem to get run. In particular, the MySQL RPM from their site
does this.

I've tried just about everything I can thing of regarding version
problems - I've compiled the same RPMs using a stock RH 6.2
installation, then burnt them onto a CD. No luck, same problem.

So, how do I fix this? What do I have to look out for when creating an
RPM that will install properly from anaconda?

Also, installing from a dir under a HDD fs appears to be broken. Has
this been fixed since?

Mick.
