Lilo should have kept a copy of the mbr when it was installed. If lilo is
installed to /dev/hda then there should be a file /boot/boot.0300. (03 and
00 are the major and minor numbers of /dev/hda). Uninstall lilo and restore
the original mbr with "lilo -u /dev/hda" or what is the correct dev in your
case. (value of boot= in /etc/lilo.conf).
