No, it's still there, even with 2.2 (I have to admit that I didn't try this
on any of these computers since 2.2.12) kernels. I used to have this problem
with old Compaq computers (the Y2K update fixed this ...). However, I still
do experience this on other computers. It basically seems to be a problem
of the BIOS (ie. the amount of RAM the BIOS reports).
