Hi!

I'm trying to install gcc-2.95 on my RedHat Linux 7.0

I have set the CC global variable as egcs (export CC=egcs in my /etc/profile,
that was because gcc didn't compile, I hope it was only an error of mine...)

Now I need to know if there is something I have to save to have both the
gcc-2.96 and the gcc-2.95.

I don't want to erase the old package, but it fails to buld a lot of src.rpm
(yesterday I tried quanta+ and screem, and both gave me errors... and there
is a lot of code that doesn't compile. I have a lot of examples, if you need
them)

Can you give as something to read about installing both the compilers?

I think there are a lot of users that want to have a compiler that works...
How far is the gcc-3.0?

Thanks
Mario
