Because we can't keep compatibility with obsolete stuff forever.
If we wanted to remain compatible with any obsolete stuff we ever
included, we'd probably need another CD.
libc5 has been obsolete since 5.0; support was carried on through 2 major
releases (5.x and 6.x).
