methinks you're on the wrong list.

If you're not on RHL 6.2, upgrade to the latest XFree  and XConfigurator. If 
the problem persists, ask about it on zoot-list.

I've just in the past week installed 6.2. Detected my onboard video fine.
It says, 
    Device      "Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS]|6306 3D-AGP"

the install-time configuration was pretty worthless; the DDC bit didn't work 
well, but XConfigurator worked fine - set it up for 32-bit colours, 1280x1024.
