Edit XF86Config if server still won't start. My mouse is on /dev/psaux(my answer to the mouse question even though /dev/mouse is symlinked to it.) You need the "nv" driver. I don't know which X you use but in the newest nv it is not in a separate rpm. I don't use redhat but when this happened I started compiling the cvs at www.xfree86.org. I think someone said the card database was put into XConfigurator but something is missing so get an old rpm of NVidia driver and then run xf86config to get a different XF86config file if you have all the rpms from the past couple of months. Try downgrading to get the server working so you can get a new server from the X website. I have 128M ram and I have to use a text console just to compile it because it takes so much memory and it is almost a gig so you need space but it does compile with 2.95.2 and 2.95.3. I think alot of people are now doing this because of the bad 4.0.1 rpms. kmb _______________________________________________ Redhat-devel-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-devel-list
