        Well, the packages themselves probabaly wont work because of
binary compability issues (new glibc, new compiler...). But the src
rpms should be mostly compatible. system-auth is a config file used
for the new pam_stack module. It's more or less a #include for
pam files, and system-auth is just a generic auth config file that
is used by login,gdm, ssh, etc. So rebuilding from source and
installing should work. I would back up your pam configs if they
are tweaked, but even that probabaly isnt necessary.
