Just for fun, I've built an RPM of RPM 4.0 from the pristine 4.0-0.33 SRPM
using RPM 3.x (you know, that still confuses me ;-) and placed the results
at:

If you're brave, go ahead and give them a try; as soon as I've had a
chance to test them, I'll let everyone know.
As you mentioned, libtool 1.3.5 was needed to build; I've uploaded an
updated RPM of that based on the RH 6.2 SRPM (1.3.5-1, so that the Rawhide
"-2" RPM overrides it later) to incoming.redhat.com, so hopefully that
will show up shortly in contrib.
