I tried removing the weed, but found XConfigurator (which I do use 
sometimes) use it. I've had to content myself with telling it to shut up 
and keep its expletive deleted hands off.

as for linuxconf; it's never been installed here for longer than it too 
for me to have a quick look and decide it's a waste of disk space. It 
seemed to me too easy to do too much.
