Hi, I am trying to start an X Server in 1024x768 mode with 24 bit depth. My problem is when I start the X server, the lower right hand side of Gnome onf my screen shows up in the upper left (i.e. I see the clock in the lower right AND upper left) and when I drag a window toward the top it also pops up through the bottom (as well as showing up the top). It is just not right. 1024x768x16 seems to work fine but not x24. I have 4Meg of RAM on my 69030 and set it in my XF86Config file. I have tested with 2 monitors that should do the job (30-78KhzH, 50-130HzV). Am I running RedHat 6.2 (2.2.14-5) and have tried XFree86 3.3.X and have also tried downloading XFree86 4.0 and have the same problem. What could be happening when I go from 16 to 24 bit color depth that could be giving me this problem?
