Hi Folks,
I have a problem, that in my company all People are using Windows NT4.0
and I'm one of the few using linux, and such have problems using the
Databases. VMWare is quite too slow for the remedy client. So, as many of
the tasks I do, could be automised using perl/Shell scripts, thus
requiring a Database access. I'm looking for such a beast that could/would
provide me with a perl-Interface to access the Oracle Database using ODBC
in read-only mode. I tried the Oracle stuff, but have not the time to take
one day or two to install and fiddle around until I've found the
possibility to use these tools.
Anyone in here who could give me a hint, what tool to use ?
Checked almost everything on the "Big WEB based Software libraries".
UnixODBC, ASP (From Remedy, only the library they provide is broken and
uses a proprietary protocoll, and no ODBC, and does not work).
Thx & Regards
Joerg
