Under that assumption that type of user should not use 'su', since a
common-sense requirement to be working as superuser is that you know
what you are doing. Otherwise, the user should be sheltered by an
application (the likes of 'control-panel').

Regarding your first point, Linux is about the best Unix around, I don't
know where do you get the idea that Linux should be not like Unix.
