First: sue Microsoft for overwriting the MBR without you consent.

Second:  Put your RedHat CDROM in the reader and at the lilo prompt tpe
"linux root=/dev/hda3 noinitrd" (IDE disks).  
This will get you going, with lots of errors, but ignore them.  Then after 
login as root:

lilo

and reboot

you could also want "emacs /etc/lilo.conf" in order to allow booting
both Linux and Windows 98.
