Ditching obsolete programs is an admirable objective, but have no doubt 
that if you ditch elm you should expect an enormous response. It might be 
used by relatively few, but it will still amount to quite a few.

What's the hassle with adding an extra CD? Is changing disks mid install 
such a great chore?

True, the NFS install will need to understand the possibility the first 
and second images might be different drives, but that's a minor detail.

As for xfm, I used to use it a lot, but perhaps many of those who will 
lament the passing of AnotherLevel may also wish to use xfm.

In the short term, I think an extra CD is the way to go; I expect in a 
year or two we'll all have DVD on our new computers and won't care about 
CDs.
