I remember it seems now like "eons" when I was running kernel 0.xx,
Ha ! the good old days 8-)
During those "dark ages", I would go in computer stores and
ask for a linux distribution and sometimes force them to make a special
order to bring that "Linux" in stock. I would do it every 6 months
or so, not that I needed it, but it was my way to contribute, to
the grass root effort.
It is sad when ever this point comes around, that I hear arguments like number
of line of codes, or X, TeX are also on the OS etc ..
Many people like myself have embrace linux for the spirit, it represents.
X, TeX did not make Linux comes "alive", nor it is relevant to counter
the number of code line. It pushes aside, the "little people" who has
in their own way, helped.
NO, RMS is not making a fool of himself. Hum .. I do agree that the PR
could have been handle better .. 8-)
