Hi: I got alsa.0.3.0-pre4 tars for drivers,libraries, and utilities. I did the configure, the make all, and make install on everything. No errors. I got the older tars because I am using RedHat 5.2, kernel 2.0.36. I went and did a make menuconfig and opted out the soundcard support like the documentation said. Does anyone know how I get my Yamaha OPL-SAX-3 card working. I just want sound without paying OSS. I got the OSS trial to work. I tried sndconfig after the alsa-whatever builds and installs, but the card would not work. The closest one was OPL-S3. I think it uses interrupt 5 and DMA-1 at 0 and DMA-2 at 1 and an address of 0x0320. Anyhow, does anyone know how to specify the card driver. I looked for kmod but with no luck.
