Well it's about time for a positive note.
I just got my 6.1 CDs today.
Did a fresh install on a Dual PII box.
The install went flawless.
For what it's worth, I have upgraded my redhat boxes at work and at home, both flawlessLY so far. encounter some interesting issues with the netscape packages on the machine at work, which I had rolled back to 5.2 after gcc failed to function on 6.0; all in all, the cartman release just reminded me that dot-zero releases of software are inadvisable for any but the most intrepid.
I have not, however, tried a new install on a naked machine; since I have one lyingound'll have notes on that if anyone expresses interest.
