It is relatively easy to get updated/changed rpms and srpms from rawhide.
Similarly, it is easy to get updated boot images. Both of these activities
simply involve bandwidth and time to download using ftp. However, getting
"correct" downloads of RedHat/instimage is not that easy.

In the past I was able to do something like: "get instimage.tar.gz and the ftp
server would wrap the whole directory tree into a tarball, compress it and then
download it (properly capturing links and permissions). No more. Current ftp
servers don't seem to support this function (or I don't know how to do it).

I tried using wget but that is a pain and with ftp.redhat.com being as busy as
it is it does not work all that well. I also tried using gftp and it does
download the directory but takes forever to do it.

OK, does any suggestions. What do you folks doing mirrors use?
