Hi,
I just tried to upgrade my box from RH6.0 to
6.1,
I have the following partitions:
hda1 fat32
hda2 linux (contained RH 6.0)
hda3 linux swap
hda4 linux
note that hda4 was unformatted (I did not run
mke2fs on this partition)
when the installer tries to autodetect the
partitions,
it fails on hda4 and says mount: invalid
argument,
and then the installer freezes.
after rebooting and running mke2fs on /dev/hda4 ,
the installer upgraded
my box without troubles.
That means during install you should check if there
is not a valid filesystem on the partition.
just my 0.02c
PS: I know these idiotic cases do happen only to
me.
:-)
regards,
Benno.
