I'm running redhat 6.0 with the kernel that came with it and I'm running
into the problem that when I run Midnight Commander 4.5.30 from the
shell prompt as either a regular user or as root, mc refuses to respond
to the mouse (a belkin 3-button PS/2 compatable mouse) when I either try
selecting something from the menu, or try clicking the mouse button to
enter or change a directory.
The mouse works fine in X and with sgvalib programs like zgv and cut
and paste works with programs like pico, so the problem couldn't be the
mouse or the kernal mouse driver, could it?
ps ax gives the following listing for gpm, so I know it's up and
running.
345 ? S 0:00 gpm -t ps/2
The mouse worked with mc under 5.2, so it has to be something about 6.0
or am I overlooking something here?
