That is a good one. a nurse once suggested putting a bit of Elmer's glue on the area, and then scraping it off, and the splinter also would come out with it, but I personally like your idea far better! When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape splinter, then pull it off.
