Family German Potato Salad

Bacon - 2 strips fried & diced
1  Tbs flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/3 cup  water
4 potatoes - peeled, cooked and sliced
1/4 - 1/2 cup chopped onion  (to taste)

Put all ingredients EXCEPT potatoes and onions in a  small
saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes  stirring
constantly. The mixture should become thick and clear.
Pour over  potatoes and onions. Serve warm (but it's also
great cold). Makes 4-6  servings.
