I have never had Smokies like this before, but I found it on a  Cajun list. 
Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno's are great too,, if anyone has  one of their own 
I'd like to have it.  
 
    LOUISIANA STYLE  LI'L SMOKIES

5 slices bacon,  diced
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1  cup unsweetened pineapple juice
3/4 cup ketchup
3 Tbsp. Tabasco  brand green pepper sauce
1 1/2 pkg. (16 ozs.) Li'l Smokies
Hot  cooked rice, optional

Fry bacon in large heavy saucepan over medium  heat until crisp and
brown.
Add onion and pepper and cook until  tender. Stir in pineapple juice,
ketchup
and Tabasco. Add Li'l  Smokies; bring to a boil, then simmer 10
minutes.
Serve with rice if  desired.
