Plant Your Bulbs!
I don't know about you, but when winter's snows start to recede next year,
I want color in my yard immediately! But this requires having the preplan
and plant spring-blooming bulbs like crocus,tulips,lilies,or other bulbs of
your liking in the Fall. I know some of you may be too absorbed with fall
foliage or Halloween decorations to think ahead to spring. The colder your
climate, the earlier you should put your bulbs in the ground:
* zone 3, plant in Sept.
* zones 4-5, plant in Oct.
* zones 6-7, plant in Nov.
* zone 8, plant in Dec.
