Church Cake 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. crisco 2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten 1 c. milk
Mix sugar, crisco, flour by hand and save 1/2 cup of crumbs to put on coffee cake later. Add baking powder, vanilla, salt, beaten egg and milk to larger portion of mixture. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured rectangle pan. Get reserve mixture and add cinnamon. Mix and add to the top of the coffee cake.
