REFRIGERATOR FRUIT CAKE
   1 1/2 cups seedless raisins
   1 cup prunes
1 cup pitted dates, cut up
1 1/2 cups mixed candied fruits and peels, cut finely
   1 stick butter or margarine
   1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
   1/4 cup light corn syrup
   1/2 cup marmalade
   1 teaspoon cinnamon
   1 teaspoon ground cloves
   1/2 teaspoon salt
   1/2 cup walnut meats, chopped
5 cups finely crushed graham cracker crumbs
   Wash
and drain the raisins. Pour boiling water over the prunes and let them stand
for
5 minutes. Then drain, cool, slice and pit them. Combine all the fruits and
peels.
Cream the butter with the sugar; blend in the syrup, the marmalade, spices, and
the
salt. Mix this in with the fruit; let it stand for 2 hours. Then blend in the
walnuts
and the crumbs. Pack the mixture into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan, which has been
lined
with wax paper. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for 48 hours or longer.
Enjoy.
