Lora! If for one minute you think there could be a piece of glass or shards of
it in the jelly, pleeeeeezzzzzzzzeeeeee! throw! it! out! It, the results, could
be fatal! When Dale, my husband was doing medical transcription, he typed a sad
case; it was around the holidays, the cook had dropped the platter with the
ham, and rinsed off the ham, cleaned up the mess from the broken platter, and
thought! it was safe!! to eat the ham! wrong! I mean! It was rinsed off, no!
glass on! or in! it! right? wrong!!
she was the only one home at the time, and decided to eat some of that ham.
guess other family members knew of her fiasco, and later, did not! consume it;
anyway the cook died, shards of it punctured some of her organs, liver, etc.!
what a tragedy! when in doubt, throw it out! pleeze! better safe than sorry! I
know meat is expensive, but you are not! a! cat! with 9 lives. you can always
get more, but not a new life!

I just broke a jar yesterday. it had about a cup of raspberry jelly in it.
I am a little afraid there could be a piece of glass in it so I will be very
careful when I dip it out. I may only use it for me because I have to be so
careful what I give to George. I always wipe on the floor with a damp paper
towel and then it will pick up little pieces of glass if there are any. That
hurts when it gets in your feet.

    Sharp Edges

Remove the entire lid when opening a metal can, then put lid inside the
empty can before disposing of it. Never put broken glass in your plastic
kitchen
garbage. Serious cuts on your legs can be avoided by wrapping glass in
paper bags and dispose directly in the outside garbage can.

A single candle can illuminate an entire room. A true friend lights up
an entire lifetime. Thanks for the bright lights of your friendship.
